Death Penalty for Couple Who Tortured Three-Year-Old son To Death

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for a couple who allegedly subjected a toddler to weeks of abuse including whippings, hangings upside down and beatings with a frying pan and metal rod.

Jillian Tait and boyfriend Gary Fellenbaum were arrested in November, accused of subjecting Tait’s child to escalating abuse over a period of weeks before finally torturing him to death over a three-day period.

And Chester County District Attorney’s Office told the pair at their arraignments this week that prosecutors will seek the death penalty because the boy died by torture and was younger than 12.

The alleged actions of the pair were described as an ‘American horror story’ by district attorney Thomas Hogan, who, noting that there was no evidence of drugs or alcohol involved, said it was ‘just evilness’.

The prosecutor said what started as spankings graduated to ‘concentrated, repeated, escalating abuse.’
Police said that the abuse Gary Fellenbaum tried to pass off as ‘discipline’ included throwing the toddler against a wall, punching him off a chair and then taping him to the chair for further beatings.

Fellenbaum’s 21-year-old estranged wife, Amber Fellenbaum, was also charged with child endangerment for allegedly failing to help the toddler.

Oil Prices Will Stabilize Early 2015

Nigerian government officials are confident of a stability in oil prices as early as the first quarter in 2015, Global Village Extra can report.

This is despite continued decline in crude oil prices which is at an all time low and observers say will not improve anytime soon.

The Nigerian government says it does not intend to revise the oil benchmark in the budget further down.

Since the crash of oil prices from over $115 per barrel in July, the government has reduced the oil benchmark from $78 to $65, as contained in the 2015 budget proposal.

But, the price has continued to fall, with crude price at the international market dropping to as low as $54.44 per barrel on Wednesday.

In spite of the decline, the Minister of State for Finance, Bashir Yuguda, said the government would not review the benchmark further the benchmark, as price intelligence has shown that crude oil prices would average between $65 and $70 per barrel in 2015.

The government’s confidence, the minister pointed out, was anchored on the fact that American shale oil currently driving price shocks equally runs the risk of becoming unsustainable, as it was being produced at a high cost of at least $65 a barrel.

Analysts say, if sustained for long, government spending projections during the year could be significantly affected.

But, the government has said it is prepared to introduce further austerity measures to cushion the impact of further price fall outside the proposed range.

Premium Times also reports that amid declining revenues in the wake of the rapid fall in global in oil prices, the minister said the government would do all within its capacity to maintain growth and stability in the country’s economy in 2015.

He said the government would not waver in its commitment to the diversification of the economy by boosting non-oil revenues, plug loopholes and cut unnecessary expenditures.

Describing 2014 as a challenging year, Mr. Yuguda said the country managed to maintain a stable economic growth and re-established itself as Africa’s largest economy.

Mr. Yuguda said the Development Bank of Nigeria, DBN, planned to take off in January 2015, was in line with government determination to sustain growth in the economy and improve medium-to-long-term financing for Nigerian businesses.

The Minister said the DBN would utilize an on-lending model to channel financing through existing commercial banks as well as restructured specialized banks, such as the Bank of Industry, BOI, and the Bank of Agriculture, BOA, to fund businesses to deepen growth and generate more jobs.

He identified the partners that have committed to invest in the bank as the World Bank, the Africa Development Bank, the BNDES Bank in Brazil, and KfW in Germany.

The World Bank and AfDB, he said, have each pledged $500 million support for the take-off of the bank, adding that the European Union had also indicated interest in investing in the bank through the European Investment Bank, EIB.

Besides, he said the government has set aside N4 billion in addition to the N16 billion already provided in the 2014 budget for the take-off of the project.

“The existing Bank of Agriculture and Bank of Industry will be re-structured as specialized institutions to retail financing from this new wholesale development bank,” Mr. Yuguda said.

He cited the Capacity Enhancement Programme, CEP by the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS, as part of efforts to boost non-oil tax revenue, to enable the agency surpass its 2014 target performance by about N160 billion.

In addition, Mr. Yuguda said government was working on a system of tax incentives for Micro-Finance Banks in order to promote financial inclusion for the poor.

On the fiscal restructuring measures announced recently by government, the minister assured that critical infrastructure projects would not be affected, describing them as key to economic growth and development as well as job creation.

The areas that would be affected, according to the minister, would be those with the least negative impact on the generality of Nigerians.

These include widening the tax net, and pushing for higher levels of compliance; introduction of a new tax on luxury products as well as reducing expenditure by cutting foreign travels by government officials, especially with regards to foreign training programmes.

President Goodluck Jonathan Criticized By Chibok Parents

The parents of the over 200 Chibok Girls kidnapped by Boko Haram in April 2014 have criticized President Goodluck Jonathan for not fulfilling his promise to rescue the girls and also accused the Federal Government of complicity in their children’s abduction.

The Chibok parents also urged the Nigerian government to seek outside help to rescue their daughters, who have now been missing for 262 days.

The parents made their feelings known during a meeting with members of the #BringBackOurGirls group on Thursday, January 1, in Abuja.

The leader of the parents, Mark Enoch said:

“This is intentional, the hand of government is in the kidnapping; we want the government to bring back our girls. If they cannot do it alone, they should seek the assistance of the United Nations and some advanced countries.”

Another parent, Mrs Samuel Abana, urged President Jonathan to fulfill his promise to rescue the girls which he made to the parents in July 2014 at the  Presidential Villa in Abuja.

“I want to remind the President of his promise when he met with us; he promised to rescue our daughters, he said he would bring the girls back, but six months later, there is no result. Mr. President, will you fail to rescue them, if your daughter is abducted? If you can’t do it alone, invite the United Nations to come and rescue our daughters,” she said.

The over 200 girls were kidnapped from their hostel at the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State on April 14, 2014 and most of them have remained in captivity.

PDC World Championship Michael van Gerwen and Gary Anderson Set Up Semi-Final Clash

Flamboyant Dutchman Van Gerwen prevailed 5-2 over the spirited challenge of Robert Thornton in a high-calibre quarter-final encounter at Alexandra Palace.

The second of the New Year's Day encounters between Anderson and Peter Wright was initially a scrappy affair but the former ultimately eased to a 5-1 triumph over his fellow Scot.

Van Gerwen was in irresistible form as he stormed into a 3-0 lead over Thornton, securing the third set with a 10-darter having nailed 180s in each leg of the first.

But Thornton stormed back in a sensational contest that produced 27 maximums, reducing the arrears to 3-2.

Thornton spurned the opportunity to square the match and Van Gerwen moved swiftly to shut the door after going 4-2 ahead, sealing matters with a 170 and finishing with a 106 average - his highest in the Worlds, having beaten Adrian Lewis with 103 in last year's 6-0 semi-final whitewash.

Anderson and Wright were unable to replicate that standard during the opening stages of their match but Anderson took his chances to establish a 2-0 lead.

Wright halved the advantage but his compatriot was not to be denied a crack at the champion as he averaged 102 and racked up 11 maximums to set up an intriguing encounter.

Friday's quarter-finals feature a pair of England versus Netherlands showdowns, with Vincent van der Voort taking on 14-time world champion Phil Taylor and Stephen Bunting pitched against 2007 winner and reigning Premier League king Raymond van Barneveld.

Female Teacher, 26, Who Sent Her Nude Photos To 2 Student Lovers Charged

A Pennsylvania teacher has been charged with felony institutional sexual assault following allegations that she had sex with two 18-year-old students at her home.

Tiffany Leiseth, 26, worked as a substitute English teacher in the New Brighton School District, northwest of Pittsburgh. The victims in the case were both taught by Leiseth, although the alleged sex acts occurred after classes had ended for the year.

Police launched an investigation in late May after they received tips that the teacher had sent nude photos to each of the young men.

“[Investigators] followed up on that rumor and they found those students, and they found the nude photographs, and they identified the teacher,” Moon Township Police Chief Leo McCarthy told CBS Pittsburgh.

In interviews with police, each victim described how he had been invited to Leiseth’s house, was offered beer, and then engaged in sexual activity with the teacher. The first student came over on the last day of school, in the hours following the end of classes. The second student said he visited Leiseth’s home the next day, according to police.

She reportedly told the students not to tell anyone, according to WPXI.

Leiseth lost her job in the wake of the allegations, but her attorney argued that since classes were over when the alleged acts occurred, she wasn’t their teacher anymore.

“I’m not going to get in a war at this point with the alleged victims’ families,” Michael DeRiso, Leiseth’s attorney, told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “The reality is you hadthree consenting adults once school let out.”

McCarthy disagrees.

“Regardless of your age, whether you’re an adult or not, if you’re a high school student, a teacher cannot have sexual relations with you,” McCarthy told WPXI.

However, because the young men were 18 years old, police could not charge Leiseth with a crime for sending them nude photos, CBS Pittsburgh reports.

Leiseth’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 22.

For Men: 9 Tips To Last Longer In Bed Without Pills [EXPLICIT CONTENT]

The sexual act can be extremely pleasurable, so it is no wonder people try to make it last as long as possible. Many men worry that they achieve orgasm too soon during intercourse for the partner to be satisfied. While there are medications aimed at helping men delay ejaculations, many desire to learn natural methods for increasing staying power.

Step 1

Concentrate on the quality of lovemaking. Spend more time on foreplay and in being intimate with your partner following sex. Sexual intercourse plays a major role in sexual expression but it does not have to be the entire act.

Step 2

Practice the stop-start method while having intercourse. When you feel yourself on the brink of ejaculation, stop and wait until the feeling has subsided before you resume thrusting. Practicing this technique regularly will help you to last for longer amounts of time.

Step 3

Squeeze below the head of your penis to delay ejaculation naturally. You will be forcing the blood from the penis and thereby making it possible to suppress orgasm for the moment.

Step 4

Learn about your various levels of excitability to help control orgasm. When you masturbate or have sex with a partner, reflect on each stage of arousal, from initial excitement to the plateau (leveling off period) to orgasm. Picture each stage as an ascending number from one to ten. Attempt to go no higher than seven while attempting to delay orgasm.

Step 5

Distract yourself when you find yourself coming too close to climax. It may seem cliché, but thinking about such non-sexual things as doing your taxes can lengthen the amount of time you perform in the sack.

Step 6

Invest in a targeted workout to help increase your sexual endurance. The famous Kegel exercise in which you repeatedly tighten the muscles involved in ejaculation is particularly helpful. One way to practice is to stop and start your stream of urine when using the toilet.

Step 7

Concentrate on your partner’s orgasm first. Rather than worrying about when you climax, focus all your initial efforts on getting her there first. For example, press your penis into the area of her clitoris and penetrate only a couple of inches into her vagina (where the nerve endings are the greatest) with quick thrusts to increase her pleasure and propensity to orgasm.

Step 8

Let your partner be on top during sex. With her in this position your penis is less stimulated and you will be able to last longer naturally than in other positions.

Tips

  • Prepare for a second time when possible, as most men last longer after having made love earlier.

President Jonathan Promises To Stabilise The Naira

President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday reassured that his administration would ensure stability in the value of the Naira by striving to take away speculative behaviours that caused market exchange pressures. Jonathan, who gave the assurance in a nationwide New Year broadcast in Abuja, said government would continue to promote policies that ensured economic stability.

He said his administration would also continue to lay the foundation for a vibrant economy to attract more significant Foreign Direct Investment.

‘‘We will continue to build and maintain a healthy external reserves position and strengthen fiscal buffers.
‘‘We will ensure the Naira remains strong, and gives foreign investors the clarity and certainty that they need, to guide future investment decisions.

‘‘We will continue to improve our payment systems and strengthen risk-based supervision mechanism for Nigerian banks to ensure overall health and stability of the banking system.

According to him, Federal Government will be introducing a broad spectrum of financial instruments to boost sector-specific enterprise areas in agriculture, Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (MSMEs), manufacturing, and oil and gas.

He said these instruments were meant to enhance the nation’s aggregate supply capacity, reduce poverty, promote job creation and increase the general well being of the people.

‘‘These efforts and other measures being spearheaded by relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies, are geared to ensure a secure future for Nigeria and create a much more prosperous country, where people live more peaceful and fulfilled lives,’’ he said.

The President also enumerated some of the achievements of his administration in the past four years.
According to him, the federal government has rehabilitated and expanded the nation rail transportation network, and successfully privatised power generation and distribution.

He disclosed that his administration had significantly reformed and increased local participation in the oil and gas industry, and improved nationwide access to potable water from 57 percent in 2010, to 70 percent at present.

‘‘We have also made significant progress in improving access to primary, secondary and tertiary education by building and equipping more schools, including special Almajiri schools, and establishing additional universities to ensure that each state of the nation now has at least one Federal University.

‘‘Our national economy maintained a steady growth rate of close to seven per cent in the past four years and millions of fresh employment opportunities were created for our people as a direct consequence.

‘‘Recently, we launched the Youth Employment in Agriculture Programme (YEAP) and the $100 million dollars Government and Donor Fund for Agriculture Finance in Nigeria (FAFIN) to fast-track the positive transformation of our agricultural sector,’’ Jonathan said.

He further revealed that the Federal Government’s Youth Employment in Agriculture Programme (YEAP) targeted 750, 000 market-oriented young agricultural producers.

He said that 100 million dollar Fund had been earmarked to provide affordable long-term financing to support the development of small and medium agribusinesses in the country.

The President stated that this was in addition to a N50 billion Farm Mechanisation Support Fund set up by the Central Bank to establish 1,200 agricultural equipment-hiring enterprises.

He maintained that both funds would become fully operational this year.

‘‘Policies and programmes such as these to boost agricultural production remain topmost on the agenda of this administration,’’ he added.

He said the 2015 budget which had been presented to the National Assembly for approval, was targeted at deepening the nation’s efforts at becoming a non-oil economy.

He said the budget also included measures to ensure that the downturn in the price of oil did not affect the nation’s development plans.

‘‘We are adjusting our financial processes to safeguard our economy.

‘‘We are also taking steps to ensure that the poor and the low and medium income earners do not bear the brunt,’’ the president said.

Prophecies for The Year 2015 -RCCG Pastor Enoch Adeboye Reveals

http://porscheclassy.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/PASTOR-ADEBOYE-fine.jpg

As the world continues to groan under the heavy yoke of insurgency with no respite seemingly in sight, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has predicted that the phenomenon will be weakened world over in the New Year.

The revered man of God, in his prophecies listed under four categories of individuals, international, RCCG and Nigeria, has also predicted that the dreaded Ebola Virus Disease, which has killed over 7,000 people so far, will finally die.Adeboye made these predictions at the crossover service held at the Redemption Camp, Kilometre 46, Lagos – Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State, to usher in the new year.Reeling out the New Year predictions at about 1:15 am before a mammoth crowd that gathered at the Arena Ground of the Camp, the septuagenarian cleric said God wants Christians to pray against “massive calamities, massive earthquakes and strong hurricanes and typhoons.”
For Nigeria, expectedly, the man of God was not forthcoming in reeling out the mind of God in details, as, according to him, 2015 being an election year, he has to be miser with what God has told him about Nigeria.
“Unfortunately, because it is election year, I can’t tell you all that God told me about Nigeria. But I will tell you this: “By the end of the year, many will say ‘all is well that ends well.'”
